TailBook ambassador programme

An international network that starts with people

Street animals are a problem in many countries, and almost nowhere does it look the same.

Every country has its own laws and rules, its own municipal practice, traditions, and attitudes towards animals. Even neighbouring towns can differ sharply in how volunteering, shelters, veterinary care and street-animal work are done.

So we believe that a genuinely working international system cannot be built by launching one platform at everyone. It needs people who know their own city, their own country and their own community, and who help TailBook understand the local context.

A volunteer her town trusts.

A vet that animal owners listen to.

A shelter director other organizations turn to.

Somebody who knows whom to talk to at the municipality, and how to open that conversation properly.

That person can open a door cold letters will not open in a month.

Who an ambassador is

A TailBook ambassador is somebody who helps connect TailBook to a local community.

You tell people about the project, introduce us to people and organizations, share your experience, and help us understand local specifics. We, in turn, gradually connect those local communities to each other, building an international network of people and organizations working on one large problem.

We want TailBook to grow not only in different countries, but together with the people of those countries.

What you are advancing

An ambassador does not promote a programme or an app. They advance the idea that helping animals can be organised: when people can see each other's work, help stops being duplicated, stops getting lost, and stops starting from zero every time.

And they advance animal welfare itself. Sterilization instead of an endless cycle of puppies, treatment instead of waiting, a home instead of the street - not just another bowl of food. Having that conversation in a town often matters more than any platform.

TailBook is the tool in that conversation, not its point. If after your meeting a town has one more organised helper group and one less unrecorded sterilization, the programme worked - regardless of how many people registered.

What an ambassador gets

Taking part means being part of TailBook’s growth in your own city or country and, at the same time, part of the project’s international community. Depending on the level, ambassadors get:

  • official standing in the TailBook network
  • a personal invite link
  • a certificate with public verification
  • a mention on the TailBook site
  • branded merch
  • early access to new platform features
  • invitations to events and team meetings
  • a voice in discussions about where TailBook goes next
  • influence over how the platform adapts to the needs of different countries and communities

And we want this to grow further. If the international network becomes strong and steady enough, we hope the most active ambassadors can become permanent members of the TailBook team - growing the network in their countries, joining new projects, and shaping the ecosystem with us.

How the role works

An ambassador helps TailBook become part of a local community. That can mean different things:

  • telling volunteers or organizations you know about TailBook
  • introducing the TailBook team to a shelter, a vet or another organization
  • helping make the first contact with a local community
  • sharing what is specific about local conditions and problems
  • helping us see which parts of TailBook are actually useful in this region
  • introducing us to potential partners
  • telling us what works and what needs to change

You do not need to be a TailBook expert or turn into its advertising representative. What matters far more is that you know your own environment, trust the project, and can describe it honestly to the people around you.

Where the responsibility ends

An ambassador is not TailBook’s legal representative and does not make decisions on the project’s behalf. So you:

  • do not sign agreements on TailBook’s behalf
  • do not collect money for the project
  • do not give official comments to press or public authorities without agreeing them with the team
  • do not promise capabilities TailBook does not yet have

This keeps the boundaries of responsibility clear, and it protects the ambassador as much as TailBook.

Levels

A level is not a prize for effort and not a contest of invitations. It reflects a real contribution to the network. We count people and organizations that genuinely start working with TailBook, not registrations.

1

Friend of TailBook

The first level, for people who want to get to know the project and try helping it grow.

A Friend of TailBook gets:

  • a short introduction conversation with the team
  • a personal invite link
  • the TailBook media kit
  • guidance on using the materials
  • the right to use the TailBook name and mark within the media kit’s rules

At this stage we are mostly getting to know each other and finding out whether we are going the same way.

2

TailBook ambassador

Ambassador standing appears once three participants the ambassador introduced genuinely start working with the platform. The registration itself is not the point: what matters is that thanks to this person new participants appeared who really became part of the network.

An ambassador gets:

  • an official certificate with public verification by code
  • their name on the TailBook site
  • branded merch
  • a part in growing the international ambassador network
3

Lead ambassador

This level is for people already helping TailBook build a durable local community. It is reached when an organization the ambassador introduced has been working actively through the platform for at least three months - or when ten active participants are working in the system through their recommendations.

A lead ambassador gets:

  • everything the previous level includes
  • early access to new TailBook features
  • invitations to closed events and team meetings
  • a place in roadmap discussions
  • a channel for proposals about the platform’s development
  • a free subscription for the organization they introduced, once paid subscriptions exist

And most importantly - the possibility of closer cooperation with TailBook as the network grows.

About money, honestly and up front

We want to state one important thing straight away, so the programme is as transparent as it can be.

At this stage, taking part in the ambassador programme does not include payments for invited participants or organizations. This is not a paid referral programme: there is no percentage for registrations, no fixed fee per participant, and no bonus for a cooperation that begins.

What we offer now is above all the chance to be part of TailBook’s growth: official standing, access to new features, participation in events and in the international network, and a role that widens with the project.

That said, we do not rule out that the format will grow together with TailBook. If paid roles, projects or permanent cooperation become possible, we will discuss them separately and openly.

This is exactly why we see the ambassador programme as a possible path for the network’s most active people to become part of the TailBook team.

What we ask of ambassadors

We want to build the network on trust, so this part is fairly simple.

Tell the truth

If TailBook cannot do something yet, say so. Honest expectations matter far more to us than promises we cannot keep.

Do not collect money on TailBook’s behalf

Every financial matter must go through TailBook’s official channels.

Protect other people’s data

Do not publish information about animals, their owners, addresses or photographs without the necessary consent.

Tell us when something breaks

If something went wrong, tell us. We think far better of an awkward «I think something is broken here» than of a problem left unnoticed.

Stay yourself

We do not need somebody who repeats our wording. We need people who understand their community, know its particulars, and can explain honestly how TailBook can be useful to it.

How we count an ambassador’s contribution

Every ambassador will have a personal invite link. People and organizations arriving through it are tied to that ambassador from the moment their record is created. After that the tie does not change, and further activity is measured by the same rules that apply to the whole TailBook network.

This lets us see not only how many invitations there were, but how much the network actually grew because of that person.

We do not want the programme to become a race for registrations. A few active participants matter far more to us than dozens of people who created an account and did nothing else.

What we are preparing

Media kit

A simple, regularly updated set of materials. We want it to be a living tool that is genuinely convenient to use, not an archive of documents nobody opens.

  • the TailBook mark
  • a short description of the project
  • the main facts about the platform
  • what TailBook can be useful for
  • communication guidance
  • answers to the main questions

Certificates

Every certificate will carry a unique code and a public verification page: who holds it, for which level, and from when. If a certificate is ever withdrawn, that will be shown openly too.

Your own view

In time the profile will show the ambassador’s level, the participants who came through their recommendations, and the state of their certificate. While the system is still growing, applications and statuses are handled by hand. Saying that plainly seems more honest than a beautiful panel that shows nothing useful yet.

Would you like to be part of the TailBook network?

Tell us a little about yourself: where you work, what you do, and whom you deal with in your city or country. We are especially interested in people who are already part of a local community and understand it from the inside.

After the application we will suggest a short conversation - to meet, to tell you more about the programme, and to see whether we are going the same way.

We do not need one more contact. We want to build, step by step, an international network of people who are trusted locally - and who together help TailBook become more useful in every country it reaches.
