Don't lose your friend.

There is one evening this exists for: the evening an animal does not come home. Everything else is getting ready for it.

Add your animal

Two minutes now, so that evening is not the evening you fill in a form.

At home

The animal already has a name you can say down a telephone. It is minted once and never reissued, it survives a new collar, a new tag and a new owner, and you never have to think about it until you do.

Missing

One address to send, in the language of the street being searched. It unfurls in a messenger with the animal's face in it, and anyone who sees them can say so without an account - because a sign-up wall is how the one useful message of the week gets lost.

What arrives in a neighbourhood chat

Home again

The page stays and says they were found. A search that simply disappears teaches everybody who shared it that sharing was pointless.

And how

  • A code on the tag, readable aloud and by a camera. It opens the search if one is open, and otherwise the page that says «you have found this animal».
  • Seven languages, each with its own address, so the link lands in the language of the people who live on that street.
  • An A4 poster, a square for a feed and a picture for a story, all built from the animal's own photograph. The lamppost still finds animals a chat cannot reach.
  • An animal with no tag at all is matched against the searches nearby, by the eyes of the person holding it.

You have found an animal

If it wears a code, read it. If it does not, see who is being searched for near you.

Who is being searched for nearby

The animals on this page are real, and so are the photographs. They were taken by the people who found them.
